Ancestry.com

Ancestry.com gives you access census, vital records, immigration and much more genealogy information from around the world.  Thank you to the Friends of the Meredith Library for providing this database!

Americanancestors.org

Founded in 1845, New England Historic Genealogical Society is the oldest and most respected nonprofit genealogical organization in the country.  American Ancestors is their online presence containing numerous genealogy databases.

Meredith Library Obituary/Cemetery Database

Obituaries from the Meredith News currently date from August 23, 1910 through December 23, 1933.  If there is an obituary you would like sent to you, please email joyce@meredithlibrary.org or call 603-279-4303. The library has the Meredith News through the current week, so we can also look up obituaries not yet in the database. We need name, date of death and if known date of birth.

Cemeteries

Meredith Village Cemetery and Oakland Cemetery are currently in the database. We are working on adding more as time allows. For information on other cemeteries, please call the library or contact the town's cemetery sexton, Robert O'Neill at "mailto:roneill@meredithnh.org" or call 603-279-6352.

Familysearch Affiliate Library

We are now an affiliate to the Family Search Library.  Access 40% more (400 million) images in our library than you can working from home.  You can access them via our wifi or at one of our PCs.

Heritage Quest

With over 25,000 books, the entire U.S. Federal Census, and other expanding collections, HeritageQuest Online provides access to one of the largest collections of genealogy material in the country. This collection of research materials helps in tracing family history and studying American culture.
