Please help support our Friends of the Library group. When you want to shop at Amazon.com, go to smile.amazon.com instead. It is exactly the same as Amazon. The first time it will ask you what charity you wish to sign up for. Search for Friends of the Meredith Library and choose it. Then go shopping. 0.5% of your purchase will go the Friends with no extra cost to you! Talk about an easy fundraiser.
Remember to use smile.amazon.com every time. Amazon won't always remind you. You can even install a shortcut on your Firefox browser!

About the Friends
Mission Statement: The mission of the Friends of the Meredith Library is to promote library involvement in the community and community involvement in the library. We will achieve this mission by fundraising, volunteering, sponsoring activities and creating programs of interest to the community.
The Friends continue to sponsor the library's museum pass program, the Ancestry.com subscription, the Humanities Council lecture series, the Adult and Teen Summer Reading Programs, various classes and events for all ages and continuing education for library staff. In addition the Friends help to plant and maintain the library gardens in front and behind the building each year.
Continuing Fundraising activities include book sales, book shelf sales at various antique shops and our annual Book It! 5K race. This year we see the newest fundraising activity, the opening of our used book store, "Once Read Books!" found at 44 Main Street sharing space with Meredith Bay Furniture Company.
If you would like to join the Friends, please download a Membership Form and return it to the library. New members will receive a free Friends of the Library tote.
