![]() Staff will be very happy to see our patrons again, but we want to urge everyone to take advantage of our curbside pick-up service. Not only are we still in the middle of a pandemic, we have also begun construction. We have no parking lot and the main entrance in the back is closed. The only way in is through our historic entrance on Main Street. Temporary stairs and a temporary ramp have been put into place at that entrance and we still have an emergency only exit. Curbside service pick-up is at the bottom of the ramp and our new book return should be ready once we open,” said Library Director, Erin Apostolos. Curbside pick-up hours are Tue-Thu from 9AM-6PM, Fri 9AM-4:30PM and Sat 9AM-1:30PM. Please call us at 603-279-4303, email us at librarian@meredithlibrary.org, use our online form available from our Website or make a request online using our catalog. Our website is www.meredithlibrary.org. The building will be open to the public Tue-Thu 10AM-7PM, Fri 10AM-4PM and Sat 10AM-1PM, but with some restrictions. The library trustees urge everyone to wear a facemask when they come in. “Many of our patrons are elderly,” said Trustee Chair Ann Butler. “Think of the precautions you would take if you were visiting your grandparents in a nursing home and please take the same precautions when entering the library. In keeping with social distancing guidelines, only twenty patrons will be allowed in the building at one time, only four public PCs will be available and patrons will have a total of thirty minutes per day in the building. “We call this phase ‘Grab and Go’,” said Apostolos. “It’s a model we’re borrowing from other libraries open in the area. We have also removed all public seating except at the four public PC terminals. Services available include technology assistance, Notary Public (please call ahead to set up an appointment for these two services), reference and readers’ advisory, faxing and making copies. "Summer Reading will be virtual this year. Karen, John and Jess have been working on some fun ways to keep everyone reading including weekly kits you can take home. Call us or come in and chat with them about Summer Reading,” Apostolos said. Click here to view a handout of all of our guidelines for patrons during this phase. All of these guidelines were created with your and the staff's upmost safety in mind along with following state's recommendations. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please e-mail librarian@meredithlibrary.org or call (603) 279-4303.
